Volusia Pines Elementary School

I was unaware this school was a Title 1 school. We moved from Edmond, Oklahoma and the teachers here not the caliber I am used to. At the school my daughters attended I had frequent communication with their teachers and a great relationship with the principle. We all worked together; here I don't know why these baby sitters even have a job. They do not communicate effectively and are poorly staffed. The security of the school is a nightmare. Outdoors are the classrooms and the gates they do have are hardly ever locked, so anyone can come on campus. They have no police on campus, no resource officer for the students considering the types of students they have. Many of the students are bullies and they cite they speak to the parents of these children but when you speak to the parent (s) they know nothing. Before the uniforms went into place, they would pick on my daughter for clothing but allow the poor students to wear the same things. I took photos of this mother and her child to prove my point of how the rules are not applied equally. Lastly, my husband and I bought photos although poor quality online from this school. My daughters 4th grade teacher picked my daughter out and told her in front of everyone that she could not attend recess because her parents STOLE pictures from the company that took them. It humiliated her and upset her. I contacted the school and conveyed my anger. That stupid foreign teacher keep her job. I had to forward the receipt because I guess thieving parents go to this school. So, this teacher blamed my child for something that had nothing to do with her. This school is horrid. Looking for a house in another district that can cater to my family since this one can not.

Overall, my only year here was great! I liked it. The problem was the others. They would trash talk about each other and try to get each other suspended.

Just love this school. It's like family.

I go to this school its ok but my opinion i don't like it i get bulled all the time and the teachers kinda suck
