I have been coming to The Metro Diner for almost 2 years and go 1-2 times a week. I have to commend Kristina as she is the one why my husband and I always come back. Loyal, friendly, professional and consistent serving with a huge sincere smile. I love taking friends and family there and really enjoy their food. Hands down, the best diner in Sarasota. The term “customer service” gets tossed around all the time, making it commonplace. How about “intensity?” Yeah, that’s it. The level of plain old fashioned give-a-darn, that is only matched by the quality and flavor of the food at Metro Diner, is phenomenal! I love this place, I love the menu, I love the atmosphere, and I know that my business is appreciated every time I walk in the door whether I am the first or the last customer of the day.

I ordered pickup from this location today. I was told 15-20 minutes. I am good with that. When I walked in it had been 20 minutes or so. I was told they were working on it. After 30 minutes, I spoke to a young lady who was standing just looking at a receipt, I said ,excuse me, I have been waiting over 30 minutes for my to go order. She never looked at me but said, it takes that to cook the food and we have a lot of orders. Then walked away. After 40 minutes I watched the same fellow who packed my order two other times( which the syrup, butter and silverware were not included)was packing it up and almost did not include it again. I had to say something. He was scowling the whole time. So do not order to go from here. The food is good but the staff need how to be nice training. It seems they only want in dining orders. Thoroughly disappointed.

The teamwork here is amazing!!! If the kitchen or the servers get weeded the management is right there to help out The food is great and The servers are all so friendly. We love it here and come almost every Sunday with our granddaughter Keep up the good work
