We stayed at the IBC for a month (Feb. 27, 2020 thru March 27, 2020). Yes we were there when Covid-19 hit. Regardless we had a fantastic time. We met a lot of wonderful & caring people from all over the country. The BBQ area was open with beautiful surroundings. Our unit was perfect for us, especially that my wife is in a wheelchair. Nice large pool (48' long x 33 wide) with plenty of lounge chairs, tables & umbrellas. Convenience poolhouse with bathroom ls & showers. There was a sunset party down by the beach walkway each nice. People brought their own drinks & snacks to share. There was a lot of privacy even though many were there. Unfortunately Covid-19 hit (March 14th) & many left early. We stayed an extra week, but you could feel the emptiness. Our black lab (Sophie) was welcomed & she had perhaps the best time playing on the beach & swimming for hours. If all goes as plan, we hope to make IBC our retirement home. Each unit has a ground floor storage unit with all the beach gear you needed plus we could keep our own equipment there as well. Very useful & nice having the ability to keep the car out of the hot sun. It rain for only occasional and the sunset were magnificent, though as you go through the month of March you will need to walk further down the beach to see the sunset.

Management is HORRIBLE. Unit very nice, owners take pride in their unit. However, we had construction being done on the property the ENTIRE week we were there, to the point of being woke by jack hammers. It was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talking in our unit. Weather was bad, so we couldn’t go outside, just miserable way to spend our 7 day RELAXING vacay. I Ended up calling the manager Shari, who was extremely rude saying this is off season and that units renovate during this time. I find it very hard to believe that the end of July in Florida beaches is off season. Asked her how long this would go on for and her answer was until it’s done. Absolutely no respect for others. Very poor person to have as manager. Sad to have wasted my money and time off here. Would have been nice to know ahead of booking that it was renovation season, we would’ve stayed somewhere else. Check all things important BEFORE you book here.
