My family and I recently stayed at a property in Captiva called Baywatch Casa and the property is very poorly maintained. Our first night and for 24 hours following, we had fire alarms going off and after two maintenance visits, nothing was corrected. We were awakened at all hours of the night and they continued to go off intermittently throughout our first full day. When requesting urgent support, I was laughed at and told they would be there during normal operating hours. We finally had to disconnect the fire alarms and live without working fire alarms the rest of our stay.nThe rest of the property is in need of repairs with no working lights on the porch, an unsafe railing along the deck, screws and boards causing trip hazards, etc.nI would not recommend this property or the rental company.

When we checked in all of the windows were open in the room. I found this quite odd, but then it became apparent that the air smelt musty and not pleasant, reminded me of a nursing home. The pictures did accurately show how the property looked however, it lacked to show the hairs I found in the sheets, toothbrush left in a bathroom, or hygiene products found beside the bed. This is not acceptable at any time and is especially not acceptable during the middle of a pandemic when cleanliness is not an option but a requirement. In addition to that it was also frustrating to know they were not very accommodating and, after all of the money we spent, no paper towels or dish soap were provided. Used crayons and a coloring sheet was also found in the room on the top of a dresser. Not as big of a deal but cleaning the unit means cleaning the whole entire unit, not just the high spots. Overall terrible services and not clean. I would not recommend

I canceled a trip in the last week of March and was promised I would be refunded all monies minus $100. Had to call again 2 weeks later after noticing that I was never refunded, and that they had ignored all messages sent through vrbo. Once again I was told I would receive a full refund minus $100. It has now been 2 months since my original call and they have still yet to refund me. This company is poorly managed or outright deceitful. There is no other alternative. I highly recommend that you use another company to make your reservation, there are plenty of other options.nnThey have since resolved the issue. Did take an unreasonable amount of effort on my part to get it done, however.
