You need i.d to attend your child's award ceremony but you do not need i.d to pick up your child early from school .. If your child ends up with a caring good teacher your blessed.. Principal unprofessional so can not expect much from her staff. Record from when you enter their office cause they will never admit to their wrongs.

I am originally from this neighborhood but for all those who don't like this school it takes after you Section 8 Women in the neighborhood and your kids seems to possess the same image or inherit the same image that you live Section 8 no education build a high school diplomas baby have two and three different dads that's always a bad deal for a teacher to work with maybe it's not that the teachers hate their job it might be the type of basement women the teachers have to deal with that neighborhood is full of women with no college degree and don't demand education all they want is hairdos and clothes and cause they don't believe in jobs that's a bad image so that kids pick up the image so I can mend those teachers who work there someone like me who really knows the value of being black in America and who had all kind of experience really appreciate you so you keep doing a fine job at some land Academy I write you a number one or 10 whichever is the highest for being there there's nothing like a teacher having to put up with all those silly disgraceful parents

Sunland Park wasn't my first choice they didnt have a great reputation. I decided to enrolled my daughter in her home school and get involved. I joined the PTA so I was aware of events happening in the school. I stayed in contact with the principal, teacher's and guidance counselor. The school became a part of my family and I'm glad we stayed. She received a level 5 in math and reading on her FSA. You can't blame the school because of the demographic. Parents are just as responsible for there child's success. You have to show interest in there academics not just show up to watch them sing and dance during the holiday concert.

I received a child that attends this school, first of all the surrounding area is the hood. Second of all the front service staff acts like they hate their job and they speak to the children as if they are worthless. I went there today and not only did the lady at the front desk NOT check my identification to pick up a child but she did not even get up from the comfort of her desk to tend to children across the room, she simply kept yelling at them. Additionally my research shows this is an F school, yikes!! I knew something wasn't right when the kindergarten teacher told me during a conference that the child is doing well although the child is barely reading and it's the end of the year. Standards here are extremely low, cant wait for the child to attend a different school next year.
