Great place to learn local history.
Amazing small muesium. Beautiful venue, lots of history
If you could pop out of a winding country road into the 1950s would you? This is what happens when you drive to Morattico. This charming little village takes you back in time. The waterfront museum is packed full of treasures and stories. This bustling town of a past era is now a sleepy village. With its star attraction, the waterfront museum. Take advantage of the ice cream from behind the museum, and walk the lazy roads through the past. Make sure you see the adorable waterfront post office with its original post boxes. This has now become my go to attraction when out of towners come visit me on the Northern Neck. Thank God, these places still exist.
Such a quaint little town with down to earth friendly people. Come check out the waterfront history at this museum. Also on facebook. Summer events and socials.
I was really impressed by the large number of artifacts and information here.
