I visited outside with staff member Lauren. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely. Walked thru the Labrynith in Lindley Park, reading the name plates on the artwork and enjoying the hike through Peet Hill taking in the beauty of nature and crossing the library area. Walking trails are excellent to get outdoors and exercise. Grateful.
This organization only serves to encourage behavior that causes people to end up in a hard place. This is not a rehabilitative program as they claim to be, they simply bandaid the problems and send their “clients” on the way. Poor example of a transition program.
I've heard many wonderful things about this place. I have lost everything I own and have been moving around with my children and elderly father. So many people here have reached out to us. When I spoke with the woman she kept telling me how hard the program is trying to discourage me and told me to find some place else to live. That would be a great idea if we were not here because of work.

My mom and I have been in this program twice and it really changed my life. These people try their hardest to help in any way they can. Im sorry if some of you have had a bad experiance with Family Promise but please dont call them a scam, they have helped us and other people more than you will ever know. This is an amazing program for the families who have nowhere else to go. I belive that asking for help when you need it is not a bad thing. It is better to be helped through your tough times, than to suffer all alone.
