Cute place to spend 2 or 3 hours. Beautiful setting for pictures. I took my 4th grade daughter here because we were doing a unit on westward expansion. She rated it 4 stars because some things were not open (like gold panning) and there was not much in the mercantile gift shop to buy. Overall I would recommend visiting and then head over to Frontier Town in Cave Creek after!

You're welcome. It's a great site. I would have liked more stories about the lifestyle or what typical days for the Merritt's or other townsfolk. What were the hardships or local folklore that could be shared.nI really enjoyed seeing the site and buildings. You have beautiful antiques and things!

It's an enjoyable and educational experience. It's sad that the public schools aren't able to take advantage of this valuable opportunity because of covid-19 policies. Home School families, this is a great time to mask up and take your students on a field trip! Social distancing and mask policies are in place and there's plenty of outdoor space to roam.

This place was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and informative. If you want to learn about the wild west, or have a good time with your family, this is the spot!

Visited during Feb 2021. Unfortunately, still during the pandemic. We could see how amazing this place used to be and hopefully will return to once the quarantines are over. Had the place practically to ourselves. Liked the phone museum.
