A nice little hike! Beautiful views. Most of all... A great place to spend the day. I had a blast spending time with my dad and being able to enjoy the scenery New Mexico has to offer. There is so much beauty in New Mexico, and the history is so incredible. This is a must see if you love the outdoors.

I have been begging to see these for years! I love exploring historical places everywhere I go. This one was awesome. The stories and information you get are just crazy! Will say admission is a bit pricey, however if you plan on going back you may be able to get some tokens for free AND as far as tourist gift shops this is really nicely priced on most items. I can’t wait to go back!

This is only 30 or so miles from Grants, NM, well worth the short, easy drive. The is a volcano you hike up to, nice wide road. Then the ice caves are really cool. I mean really cool, it stays a constant 32 degrees, all year long. Felt good after taking a hike to the volcano. Just a short hike to the caves, and lots of stairs down to the caves themselves. They also have a store/ gift shop. Good place to stop and get a ice cream cone. The owners are really nice there. They also have cabins you can rent. They are clean, rustic, and a super great price! A little jewel in the beautiful State of New Mexico!

We drove a little bit out of our way to see this particular attraction and found it very interesting. The “land of fire and ice” has a trail through an ancient lava bed that leads to an ice cave. Another trail winds around the side of the Bandera Volcano to view one of the best examples of a volcanic eruption in the country. The historic Ice Cave Trading Post displays ancient artifacts that were found all around the area. Cost $12

It's really a beautiful place to see. The Ice caves are amazing as the Volcanic view is breath taking. Pretty awesome place to check out with kids or not. They also have a little shop filled with souvenirs. My favorite are the stones.
