Super cool museum and I’m not a person to like museums. The lady at the front was super cute and helpful. The gift shop at the end was really cool and definitely worth buying to support the museum that is still standing. Had a really fun time. Also you can try on a fireman’s outfit in the basement which was also unique and cool
It is a very nice place to visit. The front desk lady is awesome and will help you answering your questions. The Castle is well maintained and very clean. It took us about an hour and a half to do the whole thing. At the end of the tour we visited the gift shop and the lady there was very nice.
All due respect to the folks who have worked very hard to bring this building back as close as possible to the glory it once had, I can't give it five stars. It's a large building with an interesting history that was vacant for awhile, but is now allowing folks to come in and experience some of the history. But it's not a castle. But the drive to it through Manitou Springs is interesting.
Awesome experience!! Super friendly staff, beautiful castle. I would spend all day walking around there if I could. The tea room is amazing! I'm 100% going back and bringing friends and family next time. Best tea room in town. Big shout out to the waiter serving us. He was fantastic!! My new favorite spot. ud83dude03
It was cool for what it was. A little expensive for the quality. I would’ve loved a ground plan and better literature and higher quality materials. Additionally the writing in the self guide was a little difficult to follow and assumed I knew more than I did. Lastly the gift shop could have some better options. However I did enjoy the tea blends and tea sets but did not purchase one due to the price. Hopefully they’ll get some more funding to finish the renovations on the house. Some of the exhibits were confusing about why they were integrated into a castle built by French dignitaries. I feel like it would be a fun venue for activities/events/etc.
