Our visit here really peaked our interest in the history of Cripple Creek. We were greeted with a delightful historic journey into the jailhouse and Cripple Creek by the staff at the counter. She really knew the towns history and was very passionate about sharing.. Lots of fascinating stories throughout the building. Love our visit here.
This was a great little self-toured museum. While walking through, I could only imagine what life was life for the people spending time there. I was surprised to learn they imprisoned children at one time. Great experience!! And of course we bought treats to feed the donkeys!
This was cool to see. They have cell blocks that you can walk into that still have drawings on the walls from inmates. Not a big place. I took my time and made it through in between 30 and 45 minutes.
We really enjoyed the Museum. It is interesting, well laid out and very affordable. It really gives a unique perspective on the history of Cripple Creek.
Great little museum! The kids enjoyed it and learned a lot!
