My son loves Washington. His teacher is amazing, he has built amazing relationships with his peers, the Americorp volunteers, and staff in STEAM Academy. The timeliness of announcements could be better, but I give it a pass as this is the school's first year open again. The curriculum and project based learning style is attractive. My son loves learning with technology and hands on projects. From my experience, the staff (principal included) want the children to excel and are very hands on. There are preventative measures in place and security guards patrolling during school hours for added safety and parents' peace of mind.

This school is totally my son's jam! STEAM is what he's into and project-based learning is how he naturally studies things. Teachers and staff have been positive and skillful. So glad to have found Washington.

Washington Pre-School is the best in town! The teachers and staff are friendly, patient, absolutely loves working with kids. My granddaughter is happy here.

If only they gave ZERO STARS. This is not the best school for kindergarten. There is no disciplinary actions if a kid hits another student, runs out of the classroom, hits the staff member etc etc. They are not teaching just sending them home for parents to deal with. My son that is only in kindergarten has been sent out of the classroom for hours, has been suspended 2 times total of 7 days. I have tried everything but the principal says she has tried and there is nothing she can do. My child was and is not the only one there has been many kids that has been kicked out, transfered and parents took them to homeschool. I don't see action in disciplinary. I advise you future parents not to send your child to this school. My son has been on modified school schedule since January because of his behavior, reasonable right, yes but no. I have tried everything on my part but nothing is improving. My son has an aid, my son has a therapist and yet he still being punished. One more thing, if your child has to go here make sure you don't work during the day or have someone take care of your child when they call you to pick him or her up early. I had to quit my job because of the constant calling.nP.S. Cafeteria staff is the only one that i admire.
