I have never had a bad experience with Newport Police Department. The officers get to my kids and I fast and have helped us multiple times. Thank you to the men and women who are serving and protecting us! God bless you all!

incredibly inappropriate with my friends and I (all 20 year old females) called us b*tches and douche b*gs, used entrapment for drinking at the st. patrick’s day parade, didn’t identify themselves as officers when dress undercover, tried to search without warrant etc. very unprofessional and clear they were on a power trip even though they rode bikes.

I live in bridgeview condos. This place sucks. If you want to rent here I highly advise to not. I’m a normal blue collar guy. I’m in the navy was raised in Alabama and California both for 12 years. I have never lived in a dump like this. Tonight I was walking my dog and was beating some weird noise. When I approached the heap of flesh making the noise I realized it was a drunk guy. I woke him up. I asked him his name. He was David. Just like my name.nI asked him where he lived and if he would like a cab ornUber home. He rejected my offer. He got up and acted like he was going to walk home.nI circle around and he is unconscious again. So I call the cops. They show up and I point out in the bushes where he is. They ask him a few questions and tell him “Go ahead and go home get home. This person drank more than he can handle and is a risk to my apartment complex and my community. I amnNot okay with how this was handled. If I wake up to a person passed out in the passenger seat ofnMy truck and I physically remove them, it is on the polices’ fault.

I am trying to reach out to a relative who I found out was an officer here until a few years ago. My dad's side of the family is from Newport RI. My dad was a criminal prosecutor for the Attorney General's Office of California and I am having serious problems related to family law involving the safety of my 2 children, and my father is unavailable to help me.
