I try to save my five stars for places like this. All the volunteers were more than helpful, polite, informative. The decorations throughout our lovely. There's Christmas carols playing, coloring pages, ornaments to make, and Mrs. Clause with whom to get pictures. There's about five train cars and a caboose that you can walk through and they're all a little different oh, so that was enjoyable. They have free American flags and they have a Snack Shack that has chips and drink and hot chocolate. And they even have little tables set up with umbrellas so you don't get wet if it's raining. The train ride was good; the onboard staff funny, helpful, resourceful. The only complaint would be that the conductor giving the verbal history and information walked back and forth, so we all only heard what she said as she was facing us. Train car is small enough that she could stand in one area and be heard by most anyone. Overall a lovely place and we will be back. Also a valid place for donation monies, especially in central Ohio.
Visited during the Ghost Trolley event and was blown away. They had done a great job with keeping it interesting for even the youngest child. Very informative and super fun! Will definitely visit again!
This small museum makes the best of what it has been able to obtain. You can take a short trolly ride and see an authentic and one of a kind steam locomotive. The admission is reasonable but the museum is in need of donations and funds in order to grow. If people will keep up funding they may be able to restore the incredible steam engine they have to run again. It is still enjoyable in it's current state and the friendly staff always try to give the best experience.
Beautiful passion project. Our family had a wonderful time. May this continue to hold value as a piece of history for future generations.
Short ride on trolley was fun, but lots of sitting and waiting while other groups move from car to car hearing stories. The storytellers are definitely not actors lol but do the best they can, and seem to enjoy it. Not scary at all so it is great for small kids.
