Incredible
One of the best tours we've ever taken. Our tour guides name was Eddie. What a delightful gentleman. Very informative and has a love for old birds and flying. They are only open two days a week because of the pandemic. We were the only customers in the museum for an hour. The tour starts out with a movie. Then you can choose to go into the museum on your own or with a guide. I would recommend a guide because they give so much more depth and meaning to your tour. The cost is twelve dollars per adult. If you are a veteran you get a discount. I highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic museum! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging staff and volunteers - the tour is a must! They have a beautiful collection of functioning warbirds that all have very neat stories behind them. The hangar layout allows visitors to walk around and really see the planes. Definitely going back!
I had the privilege of getting to see the Flying Showcase yesterday, 9/18 and it was the first time I have been to an airshow since I was a kid. Pure excitement, wonderfully restored aircraft and just am amazing event.nnThere is so much care by the staff for the relics at the museum and the airworthy shape of the aircraft is just spectacular.nThe displays are informative and there is a special touch to all of them from where some are on loan from to the accounts from the staff on restoration, everything feels much more personal here than other museums where displays tend to stick to just information.nnThe event itself was a no-holds barred event. Valet parking, included food/drinks from local trucks, socially distanced spots for viewing, an amazing experience that I will forever be thankful for. Please, donate here because the staff goes above and beyond in so many ways.
WWII Planes refurbished to the point that they all fly. At least 8lg planes. Larry our tour guide was excellent!! Amazing history!!!
