I have been getting regular massages at Akela since they opened several years ago and always feel relaxed and refreshed when I arrive home. I've had massages with different massage therapists and they've all been very responsive to my requests for more or less pressure and extra work on needed areas. The garden is delightful and great preparation for the massage. I love going to Akela and would give them more stars if I could. I highly recommend them whether you're a local or a visitor--they'll treat you well!
The staff at Akela are professional, kind, and provide an incredibly relaxing environment. What a great treat for my wedding weekend! They even changed the type of facial last minute to accommodate my sensitive skin. Thanks Akela!

I had one of the most fantastic massages I’ve had while traveling. It wasn’t just a fluffy fingers back rub but a deep tissue healing massage. Highly recommend.
I'm not typically one to buy products from spa's, but I've been using the pure Eucalyptus Spray from Akela spa for years and LOVE it! I'm working full time and have kids so there's not much time to go to the spa, so I spray this in the shower every night and I feel the stress melt away. I've used other sprays that weren't 'pure' and they were nice, but nothing compared to this. It's more expensive, but totally worth it!nnA few months ago I noticed how incredibly stressed a friend of mine was at work, and I was trying to think of something I could do to help them. I got them the same Akela Eucalyptus spray and they loved it! They said it helped them start each day feeling more energetic, and they were genuinely over the moon about it. I've bought two more since then and each time I get the same response. I totally recommend this product to anyone who has a loved one who's stressed out!
