Michigan State Police

Tonight at approximately 1am my son who’s 18 was driving and officers with badge number 590 and 1836 got behind my son ran his plate they claim their system said the vehicle had no insurance. My son told the officer he did have it tried showing him the proof and he wouldn’t look at it this whole time I’m on face time with him watching everything. I tell my son with the officer there I am on my way with a typed letter from our insurance company that proves it has insurance. When I get there they have my son out of the truck with his hands behind his back the 2 boys in the truck with him was asked their names including the one in the back seat when I pulled up trying to give the police officer the info he refused to look at it told me to get in my vehicle then proceeds to release my son and STILL REFUSES TO LOOK AT PROOF there has to be a glitch in Sec if states system. The cop tells me to get ahold of Sec of state THATS NOT MY JOB!!!! Our responsibility as drivers is to carry it WE HAVE IT! We have proof you refuse to look at it and if there truly was a problem you would have written him a ticket that he could have had cleared up! But no let me explain to you why you pulled my son overnnHES A BI RACIAL YOUNG MAN WHO WAS RIDING WITH 2 other YOUNG MALES WHO 1 IS BLACK AND THE OTHERS BI RACIAL. You thought you had something that was going to give you something big! SUPRISE my son is a good human being and so is the two kids riding with him! It surprised you that they could have insurance or the fact he had a decent vehicle a Ford Explorer is not that flashy it was not loud NO REASON TO PULL THEM OVER BESIDES HARASSMENT!!!! What is even more crazy is there was 10 kids between the ages of 10-12 walking down the road and y’all not worried about them but damn sure worried about my son!

They have that ridiculous light on the top of their cars and when I first saw one I thought somebody made a bet where they had to wear one. Waste of taxpayers money
