We had to wait in line to buy tickets but the line moved fairly quickly. Very organized & staff was very friendly & helpful. We saw the butterfly exhibit. The exotic plants & trees were so beautiful. The kids area was very nice. Our granddaughters had lots of fun! We will definitely go back.
We went today and It was a really good experience. We walked around for a good 3 hours visiting every place that was opened. The butterflies were beautiful with so many different kinds! I loved it. The lines were really short and the staff were super nice :))
Frederick Meijer botanical gardens was a true surprise. Over 150 acres of sculptures and landscape make up the majority of the property. While the attached butterfly house and arboretum make up most of the rest. Stunning landscapes and exquisite modern sculptures adorn the entire property.nMake certain you have a full day to explore and bring family and friends. Is very child friendly but children of all ages will enjoy this phenomenons collection.nCome early as the lines can get quite long even though the move fairly quickly.
Meijer Gardens continues to improve upon what is likely the finest garden in Michigan. This was the first time I have toured the Japanese gardens, and they were fantastic! The butterfly exhibit is always popular, but these days you need to prepare for a wait in line to see them, unless you arrive early. This is a great place to visit, time and again, regardless of age. Plus, they have one of the nicest gift shops in mid Michigan.
This place is wonderful for the entire family. It's like transporting into a different world but your in Michigan. I really enjoyed the Japanese Garden. It was serene and beautiful. My daughter enjoyed the children's garden with it's butterfly garden maze. We can't wait to go back.
