Ranger Sarah is the best thing at this visitor center! This gal is super friendly, well versed in the park's history and genuinely loves her job! Kudos to the centers' educational planner...this place has technology used every where. Junior Ranger options are neatly displayed. A pdf of this park is online. Gift shop with additional resources.
Very informative about the area's rich copper mining history. Well maintained and well presented.
Ask, and all of your questions will be answered! incredible, knowledgeable staff. The layout encourages your exploration and highlights the areas history. Stop in after walking the city for clean bathrooms. Well written books, maps, even t-shirts available here. It is a great start and ending point on your tour of this special place.
Insightful displays, VERY informed staff. Good starting point for a Calumet, Houghton, Isle Royal adventure. Spend time walking downtown & hit The Rosetta for bfast or lunch.
Had friends visiting from out of town and decided to take them to the visitor center and they loved it, but so did we.
