Most exhibits closed, no costumed interpreters, no demonstrations, despite website claims. Tour guide quite informative, some cool buildings, but lacks unity of theme.
Fun pumpkin chunking and the corn maze was good. Ill be back in thw summer.
What a memorable first Harvest Host stay! Wonderful, kind and friendly hosts and an outstanding historic tour by Howard of the 1932 farm village topped off the afternoon. Wellington Farms has more than 25 buildings including a restored operating church and home mail-ordered from Montgomery Ward catalog! Gloria hosted a beautiful quilt show in the pavilion and chatting with her was a delightful treat. We enjoyed a peaceful evening between the apple trees overlooking the lovely fields. The strawberry rhubarb jam purchased in the visitor center was delicious! We would love to come back and bring our grandchildren.
Very quiet location. The hosts are incredibly sweet and welcoming. The farm setting is lovely and the little historic park in back was interesting. Definitely worth the walk back there to take a look. Enjoyed visiting with the host couple, Howard and Gloria. Would like to return in the fall to see their corn maze!
Our family loves this place!! A great living introduction to the Depression in rural America. Everyone is so knowledgeable and generous in sharing that knowledge. Great for all ages!
