The Felt Mansion is a gorgeous wedding venue - perfect for the couple looking for a historic and romantic site for their wedding. We got married during COVID, and Derrick and Holden handled it very well. They didn't skirt around government rules but still tried to make it as special as possible while being safe/cautious (unlike other venues who broke rules, got caught, etc). We paid to have our reception in the mansion, but because government mandates prevented that, they set us up in the tent outside free of charge (which is typically part of a more expensive wedding package). They're very friendly and welcoming, communicate very well, and keep the mansion in great shape. (Previous reviewers mentioned it being in terrible shape, but that's simply not true. Sure, not everything is perfect and new... but it was built a long time ago. That's part of its charm.) We have no regrets getting married here.

My favorite park I’ve been going to for years! If you park at the first road you may have to pay a park fee if you don’t have the park pass on your license plate, but this way has bathrooms and picnic tables. If you keep going down the road you can park in the Felt Mansion parking lot but it does have a gravel parking lot and no rest rooms. This park has a beach when you follow the signs that show you the way. It also has frisbee golf at the Felt Mansion, a cute church by the parking lot, and great trees to hammock on. In the winter the hills in the frisbee golf area are great for sledding! They also have the Mansion open to tours or you can rent it for events or for a stay. That means it can be pretty packed in this parking lot most days. The beach is pretty big and allows you to be away from others if you would like, but the park doesn’t have a area to clean sand off after. There are tails of the melon heads haunting these grounds. But I myself have walked around a bunch of times even at night and never saw or heard anything. I can’t say for sure if the Mansion is since I have never been on a tour to see if there is anything spooky going on in there. Years back when I went they still had the jail still there and it was abandoned. Since then they have torn it down. See for yourself all the great activities this amazing park has to offer!

Honestly probably fun to stay at or have a wedding at, but as far as tours go, it really wasn’t worth it. No info about the individual rooms, just one sign in the first room, no brochures, and I’m assuming no original furniture or anything since you can stay there. Cool old house but not really worth walking through as a tour.

The Felt Estate is an absolute dream venue. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to get married there! I was really drawn to the multiple spaces across the estate which allow for countless options when it comes to staging your event. We opted to get married in front of the chapel (stunning!), have cocktail hour up by the mansion, dinner in the tent, and back up by the mansion for dancing. It flowed so well and our guests loved getting to explore the estate throughout the evening. The true gem of the Felt, though, is getting to work with Derrick and Holden. They are pros—there is no question they cannot answer. They guided us through changing COVID regulations proactively and with such kindness. On the big day, they were present to help but also hung back and just let us and our loved ones enjoy a perfect day. I would do it again 100 times if I could!!
