Just had drunk people wake me up at 4 then at 5 30 i tell them dude its 5 30 do you realize youre waking the neighborhood then they come on my property saying they wanted to apologize and i said you have 3 chances to get off my property until i defend myself with a shovel handle and they left then they kept staring at my house soo i dialed 911 and then he charged me trying to attack me but the officer says he was in the right because i started the problem please!!! I would love an explanation from a sergeant ????

I've had a few encounters with the Skowhegan PD, two through work, one incidentally in the community, and all have been pleasant.nnThe first was two young officers trying to serve a warrant or something similar on a neighbor. They surprised me (came up from behind) and though they saw me armed they didn't get all puffy or anything. A nice experience especially from young officers.nnI haven't met Officer Dolan but due to work I have received numerous written correspondence from him/her including light hearted sayings or holiday wishes. This is a great way to slowly build good will.nnMy third experience was through work when I asked an officer to come by for what I'm sure seemed like a ridiculous theft complaint (I had to call). I don't know his name but he was a bald black guy and had a great sense of humor. Another great experience. 5 stars.

Worryingly inconsistent views on mouse-related incidents.nnCaught a mouse in a live trap and drove to a nearby public trail to set it free - can't just let 'em out near the house, you know, or they'll get back in. Was confronted upon my return to my car by two police cruisers and three cops - which must've been the entire active force, considering the time of night! The goateed lead officer accused me of attempting to break in to a nearby office building due to my possession of a flashlight, but unfortunately, my possession of a mouse trap with fresh droppings put a damper on this hot theory. (Pointing out that I was on a public trail was also damaging.) Mouse Cop tried to convince me that I wanted in on that sweet office B&E action but was forced to bail on this endeavor due to lack of enthusiasm on my part.nnI did, however, later call up to ask if the few crumbs of bread left out for the mouse had been confiscated from the scene. Mouse Cop was not amused, commenting that this was not an appropriate matter for the police. Well, it was two whole cruisers' worth of police business just an hour before! If we can't expect our officers to take a consistent stance on murine affairs, what NOW?
