I have read about this place but this was the first time I had a chance to visit. I had a guided tour with just me and the guide. She was a college student and knew all about the life of Fisher. She made the tour interesting and fun.
This beautiful, historic home in the heart of Blue Hill, Maine is a fun summer activity. The volunteers are throughly knowledgeable and have gone to impressive lengths to protect and restore Jonathan Fisher's legacy. He was a scholar, an artist, a craftsman, a philosopher, and a gentleman. His home, which he built himself, is a quintessential part of the history of Blue Hill, as well as the settlement of the surrounding area. I really enjoyed the house tour. Don't miss!
