Out for Route 66 day trip. Stopped by Atlanta where my father and his family grew up. Took the crew all around and gave them the low down how things were while I was growing up. Told mother I took her here before but she didn't remember. She did love it though when she started checking the place out. lol

Very nice display with information boards explaining what you're looking at.

I visited on a Sunday when the elevator was open and it was fascinating to see how it worked. The structure is wonderfully restored and there was a helpful tour guide to explain it all. I had never understood how these grain elevators functioned and it's really impressive to see how it was engineered given the technology of the time. It's a quick tour - we were in and out in less than half an hour - and free, donations accepted. Highly recommended for a quick stop!

Small museum, 95% outside. Informative plaques. Nice stop for stretching your legs.
