Maplewood Elementary School

Awesome school, best place for your kids. Staff is great, kids are wonderful, and parents are supportive. School is very diverse. School is one of the few left where you can find the soul of the community in the school gardens, mosaics, and art work. Hope you can join as at Maplewood, where you can stay a child all of your life.

I attended Maplewood from third to sixth grade. It was a great experience.

My granddaughter went to school there for 3 years . She is in the 5th grade at a different school that doesn't have near as good a rating as Maplewood where she went last year and was on the honor role and somehow she couldn't pass the star test Math. At the school she is at now she is so far behind in math she can barely do basic math without counting on her fingers like a 2nd grader. This puzzles me? Like did her teacher just pass her and give her those good grades? Also your school motto is No Bullying! They don't stand buy that. She and other girls were bullied by this group of girls that happened to be black and they couldn't do anything to them because they were afraid to just because they were black. So if this so called wonderful school keeps this up and lets this kind of behavior go on , their wonderful school will go down the drain pretty soon and have gangs running it. Oh and one more thing their policy on not sending kids home with head lice just because you might hurt someone's feelings is ridiculous! That school has head lice running rampant! My granddaughter kept them nearly all year. We couldn't get rid of them. She hasn't had them in months now thank God! Oh and I read that that stuff we were using on her and her sister can cause cancer. You should re-think your policy on this it is very unhealthy to use that stuff all the time.
