The MTSU police force has some of the nicest and caring officers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Every officer I have encountered has been kind, courteous, compassionate, and shown interest in me as a student and as a citizen. I wish every law enforcement officer was like the officers at the MTSU Police department.

Not impressed with this police force. I understand the need to police the local campus, but when you stage 4 cars in a bar parking lot at close, and then hear the verbal command made to have an arriving unit to follow you (probably the only sober guy leaving the establishment). It makes the sober guy (myself) quite salty. After being followed for for better than 2 miles. I am sure my plates were ran and they knew I wasn’t likely to be impaired based on my MVR, and also I gave them no reason to do a pull over. It’s lazy streetwork on their behalf and perhaps there are better things to do at 2 am in murfreesboro than circle like sharks at a local bar. The feds have already been fist deep in this county over the former sheriff. Perhaps these questionable policing tactics should be brought into question on the state or federal level.

Good job MTSU campus police. You stopped a student for speeding, found a marijuana grinder, and got the kid kicked out of his apartment.nHe's 200 miles from home and now he's homeless, but the school was 'gracious' enough to let him finish the semester.nThanks, since he's given you all of his money and I guess he can live in his car until the middle of May.nWe're talking about a kid that has ZERO priors for being in trouble and has a 3.0 gpa. So because this campus officer needed a stat; because trust me, you aren't saving the world by arresting a kid for a grinder, MTSU campus police just ruined this kids college and turned his life upside down.nI'm disgusted because the Officer used terrible discretion and the school itself dropped the ball and ruined a persons college because of a grinder.nYou're welcome for the 2 years of money we paid you.
