Super 8 by Wyndham Knoxville East

Me and my Dad stayed for one night in this Super 8 in August 2010 right on are way home from North Carolina. We were staying on the second floor, but there wasn't no elevator, so me and my dad had to carry all of our luggage up the steps. We had to take multiple trips out to our van to get more luggage to bring into the hotel room. This hotel didn't have no luggage racks. This hotel also didn't have free breakfast. We had to go out for eat for breakfast. I wish that this hotel should have hot breakfast, including sausage and bacon. I also wish that this hotel should have an elevator for people that have luggage.

The hotel room floor looked like it had never been cleaned, the blanket on the bed had stains, no hot water, toilet seat very worn, tiles coming off wall in bathroom, door wouldn't close without being slammed, we heard every time someone in the room above walked.

Clean rooms and comfortable beds . Priced right for weekdays but the weekend prices are a bit to high.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. The room we had last time was clean but nothing too special. The Priceline rate was hard to beat and we weren’t looking for “fancy”... just to get some rest on a business trip. The Gentleman working the front desk, I’m assuming, was the manger and was not very friendly. The following morning he didn’t seem interested about booking us for another night. He made an ordeal about having us pay another deposit and such, so we left and went to another hotel last time.nThis time his wife was working upon our arrival and checked us in. She was pleasant and very accommodating. The following morning we decided to stay another night, but when we went down to book it, the same man from last time was there... he immediately went into saying we couldn’t keep the same room for the same rate. He also said if we wanted to book a different room we would not be able to check back in until it was ready at a later time. He said that he needed our current room cleaned ASAP if we took a different room. So we would need to leave with all our stuff and wait til check in time before we could get back in a room! Not very convenient and it was apparent he could care less if we stayed again. In fact he encouraged the inconveniences to get us to leave, it seemed He also made sure to let us know he’d charge yet another $50 deposit on our card. I agreed to just pay more to keep the same room but then he said our card declined. I knew better so I went back up to the room to get the card and found the same room for a lower rate on Priceline again. I went back down and let him run the deposit on the card which went through with no problem. He finally agreed to let us book the same room for the lower rate. Later That evening our toilet backed up and over flowed.nthe toilets don’t flush well here for some reason. The washer and dryer weren’t available to use. We also had issues with our AC unit but when I called the front desk the same man told me he couldn’t do anything about it until tomorrow. Overall This place isn’t terrible but the customer service / customer appreciation is lacking in the worst way and because of that, I doubt we will return to this location for another stay.

The staff members were very friendly, rooms were clean, and the property itself is maintained better than some others in the area. Overall great experience and will defiantly stay again!
