Landry's Seafood House

1st of all the oyster Rockefeller was amazing! They were big, fresh and stuffed with a nice amount of filling. The spinach mix on top was incredible. I for $17 & only got 5 I was not mad at all. They were very fulfilling and did I say delicious and fresh. I tried to do a to go order but they don't do them to go. The gumbo was so delicious I order a cup and bowl to go. It's not too spicy but with just the right amount of kick and Cajun. I have heartburn terribly bad and was not taunted with it. The rice used in the gumbo is great as well. These 2 items alone are 5 stars. I also had the crab stuffed salmon with the sautéed spinach w/ cherry tomatoes and rice pilaf. Overall it was a pretty good dish. The sides were really good. The crab stuffing is what they use for the crab cakes and it was good. The salmon was fresh and cooked to perfection but definitely could've used more seasoning. It was a tad bland so that's why I gave it 4 stars. The service was a little slow and my waiter left me sitting at least 10 min before ever coming to take my order and only checked on me when he brought the bill for me to check out, so no checks in between. Fortunately I wasn't in a rush but had I been I'd had an issue with this. It seems they could have been short staff today. I got there around 1pm on Saturday, there were all over about 7 maybe tables/ booths occupied, but time I left at 2:45 it was a nice crowd of people all over the restaurant and seemingly only 2 or 3 waiters. I'd definitely go back again, but if I'm in a rush I will go to the bar.

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating, but the service was just terrible. we weren't greeted for a long time, and when we were seated our waiter wasn't friendly. The food was pretty good, I had the seared scallops with corn fondue which was very interesting. Overall the food was very good, the service just brought them down. I think Landry could easily earn a higher score if they were quicker and more friendly.

Showed up on a Monday just before 5:00 and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. The restaurant was almost empty and no other people waiting ahead of us. It was only me and my 9 year old son. It seemed as if they just didn't want to serve us for some unknown reason. I had plenty of money to spend and I was treating my son with one on one time so he was allowed to order pretty much whatever he wanted. He doesn't order off the kids menu either! I found us somewhere else to eat seafood and enjoy each other's company.

Honestly The best crab legs I have ever had.nEverything was delicious and the waitress was super friendly even despite it being busy.nI highly recommend coming here for a nice dinner.

The food was excellent! Our waiter was also very nice! I would recommed this place to anyone who wants some fresh, delicious seafood. I would recommend the fried calamari! The garlic bread was also amazing! If you're having second doubts, don't!
