My boyfriend tried to report a drunk/drugged man yelling and walking around the neighborhood. The lady on the phone was rude and severely unhelpful. My boyfriend is new to the area and she found it fit to rudely correct him on a road name even though she completely understood what he was talking about. Such a shame that a minor report like this cannot be taken seriously.

Not a good department still run like it’s stuck in the 1970s and 80s. Not advanced in policing or policies. A lot of turmoil within the department also which has lead to many good officers leaving to go elsewhere mostly to Anderson County Sheriffs Office. The whole department needs to be revamped with new leadership!

I recieved a ticket after the sticker fell off my plate,well when they ran my plate I got hit with driving unregistered mv,no insurance that's y the registration was pulled and no lisence. They originally told me to walk home when they towed my car,but 10 mins later gave me and husband a ride. It costs us 1400.00 to get the car legal again we needed plates cause they took them and towing at over 200 and fine at mv. Well today we go to court on the ticket and to my happy surprise,good stuff never happens to me the officer off Darrell let me go told me thanks for taking car of it and I was free to go no additional fines so I got to court at 8:30 and was out buy 8:40. So the APD isn't so bad. I got to say that's the 3rd good experience I've had with them but this was the best.

I sure respect officers in general and understand policing is difficult.nBUT, I contacted Anderson PD 6 months ago, provided all evidence and financial proof on a blatant fraud case and nothing is done. I don't get updates or calls returned...nothing.nLaw abiding citizens of Anderson, I don't see how you stand dealing with this PDnnUpdate, 6 months later- phone call messages not returned (I always call during normal working hours) emails still not returned.nnI am surprised a law enforcement group can operate like this but maybe I shouldn't be.

I did a police ride along with this department for a required class. I rode with Officers Danny McCown and Caitlin Gatto. They were both helpful, friendly, and answered all of my questions that I had for them. All the other police officers who working the day I did the ride along was very helpful and friendly.
