We stumbled on this place entirely by accident. It's hidden in the back corner of an office park, tucked right against the interstate. It's essentially a large farm turned history museum/park. The property’s history reflects the transition from an antebellum plantation into sharecropping and tenant farming. There are several buildings, cotton fields, gardens, machinery, and animals on side, all with interpretive signage. There was also a cute storybook trail set up when we visited.

I enjoyed visiting this site.nIt was a beautiful day. Families were out having picnics, romping and playing on the grounds, and capturing photo ops with their little ones. It's educational, clean, and worth the trip to see.

It’s always so pretty when we go there! Love the chickens and the goats as well! It’s just neat seeing something that’s so old but well preserved.

This is a very beautiful, yet very sad place. It used to be a plantation, so it saddens me that people can come and picnic there comfortably knowing it's history.
