I have been seeking restitution from the SDHP for years regarding damage to my car done by Trooper Dennis Mez and his now retired dog Brix. They damaged my car in a fruitless search that they were not given permission to conduct, and then they did not conduct the search by the rules set forth to do so. I've reached out to Craig Price and Trooper Mez to no avail. In South Dakota, the majority of cops feel empowered to break the law and walk all over the citizenry. GENTLEMEN: I WILL get this restitution, period.

Got pulled over for a brake light not working, I'm a mechanic, I had just installed 2 new bulbs, used my long handled ice scraper between the seat and brake pedal, I told the HP that was BS. I was then told that I cannot see the brake light from behind the steering wheel, after i was written up, then released, I went straight to the car got my long handled ice scraper. Jammed it on the brake pedal between the seat, then proceeded to the Rear of the Car, I then looked and pointed out that all brake lights were in fact working, the HP ignored the fact and pulled away, that's fkn INTEGRITY! There was a cracked lens no white light showing.
