The school itself is wonderful but Mrs. Thackston is absolutely awful. She tried to tell my 8 year old child he needed medication for ADHD but he actually had a reading disability. We had multiple meeting with the principle, therapist, and social workers (all of whom were very understanding and very supportive) but Mrs. Thackston continued to put my son down, in front of his class mates. He's 11 years old now and still has severe confidence issues due to the way she treated him. My other 2 children thrived there!!! The staff and PTA offer lots of after school events and fundraisers (Bingo, fall festival, ect) that all the children loved. Overall a wonderful school with great statistics.
