My name is Johnnie Hunter I've been at that school for 7 years I've been through 3 principals is not bad but don't make it your first choice.

I absolutely dreaded the fact that this school happens to be my son’s zoned school. But, I went against all the stories I’ve heard and sent him here anyway. His first year in kindergarten was great. His teacher was an absolute joy. His first grade year was a different story. There were issues that weren’t being handled sufficiently. I finally was able to inform the principal of these issues, after waiting several days for her to return my call. I was pretty much rushed of the phone with a “ I will look into it and back to you” response. I have yet to hear back from her. This women is phony. She gives you the impression of caring for and about our children’s education but in actuality she does not. I have since removed my son from this school and he is once again flourishing and enjoying his new environment. I encourage parents to get involved, see through the facade, ask questions and demand issues be resolved promptly.

Made the transition from out of state super easy. Wonderful cultural extra curricular activities, great gifted programs and the staff really cares! This is a wonderful school, and has a high rating for a reason- they earned it!

One of the best schools in Guilford County! My children love it and do well there. The principal knows my kids by name and she is always aware of what is going on. She participates in my son's IEP meetings and they make you feel comfortable leaving your kids there!
