Great country views and good historical site
A great historic place to visit with a visitor center and knowledgeable docents and volunteers. They do a great job presenting the 3 main cultural influences of eastern North Carolina and tie the subjects into a well blended presentation of the areas history. You can also rent the visitor center and grounds for events for a very reasonable price!
We had a wonderful visit to the plantation. Beautiful plantation, great tour, very knowlegeable docent Barbara and gentleman in the gift shop. Both also very nice. It was really nice that you could get up close to the artifacts and it wasn't all roped off.nSouthern hospitality at its best! 5 plus stars! Thank you for the great experience!
Today's visit to Hope Plantation was for it's special open house for the Christmas holidays. The King Bazmore was also open as well as out buildings. There were knowledgeable guides, many in period costume, in each room. I found the wreaths and other arrangements very interesting, a variation on the traditional.
