Travelodge by Wyndham Ocean Springs

Very accommodating. Owners that take pride in the place of business. Also, very helpful in making our trip more fun by telling us some of the local events that were happening.

Very nice room but the staff treated me pretty badly No Ice? Tough. No place to buy food? Of course not. I felt like every time I needed something that I was interrupting her favorite TV show. Empty vending machines and just a dumpy feel outside of the room.

Don’t be fooled by the two star hotel rating, this place is a dump. Avoid at all cost.

My first impression of the Travelodge in Ocean Springs was very good. It is located conveniently close to the downtown area and near the Ocean Springs beach.nnOnce we walked in the room we tried to flip on the light switch and it did not work.There was another lamp close by that worked just fine. We asked for a non-smoking room but from the smell of it it was clear someone had smoked in that room previously. In fact there were burn marks in the sheet. There appeared to be burn marks on the side of the tub as well. The light switch in the bathroom was broken and the exhaust fan did not work. The walls in the room are very thin and we were able to hear the conversation of the people next door to us and the people who stayed outside until late at night. There's also a train that comes by several times throughout the night. But I like trains. The mattress was not the most comfortable. I had a spring in my back all night.nnNot everything was bad. They are pet friendly with a $25 fee. I loved the location of the hotel. The customer service was pretty good both at night and in the morning. I did call on them for a couple things and they responded immediately. Due to current events breakfast was not fully available but they did have some to go bags, juice, and coffee. The Wi-Fi was not fortnite/video game caliber (per my 9 year old) but it worked fine for basic needs. All in all it was not a bad experience. Wyndham does label this property as a value brand. So you do get what you pay for. If circumstances required I will be staying here again.

We got in a bit late. Got into the room( pool was drained, no other entertainment, so tv being it) and there's no sound. We tried to call the front desk.. hotel phone was non operative, abd no one would answer at the front desk to tell us how to fix it, Or send some one to fix it. My bf ran down stairs, thru the pouring rain, to be told it needs to be unplugged from the wall, and turned back on to work. Tried this multiple times still couldn't get any sound at all. Went back to the desk, asked for another tv she said they had none. She said for our troubles she would credit us a free nights stay any night of our choosing to compensate. We had no choice but to accept it ( it being now 3 am.. go to bed.. leave in the morning and forget it.nThe desk clerk even went so far as acting like she was typing stuff into the computer to make note of our free nights stay she was crediting us. Next morning... We go to check out.. another person is now on duty.. we ask for some kinda confirmation number or some thing to show that we will get credit for a free nights stay. We explain the previous nights chaos, and before we could even finish telling her about the lady even typing into her computer, she started shaking her head and saying no no.. no no! That is not what we do here. No free nights. You don't like it you could have gone! Ummm that's not what last night's clerk said! She said well she's my employee, I'm the manager and your not getting any thing for your troubles now go on.nnIt was a dirty outdated place with trash thought-out the grounds and parking lot. With terrible customer service and the phones and tvs don't work. They would have to pay me to stay there again!
