The Sheriff (Stanley McLeod) has earned my respect on many occasions and one of the most recent being my experience with a SCAM I fell victim to. When I became aware of a fraudulent company that paid me with a counterfeit money order I contacted Sheriff McLeod and explained the situation and he immediately set an appointment for me with his lead investigator for that department and although I haven't been able to recover the money that the fraudulent company scammed from me it was not due to any fault of the assistance I received but because of the nature of the company and how well they went to such measures to leave no way to trace the scammers and recover the money I had been cheated out of. I did however get priority treatment by lead investigator Henderson on all accounts and his professional manner in how he handled the situation and his direct and honest way of explaining to me that the chance of me recovering my loss was not probable and in doing so gave me a clear understanding of my situation and a better means of awareness of being more cautious to avoid such an occurrence in the future.nI do appreciate Sheriff McLeod for quickly pointing me to a department of efficiency and his following up with the same to insure that I did get the help I asked him for so I am still at a loss from the company that SCAMMED me but it helped me to feel not nearly as frustrated by receiving prompt and professional assistance when asking therefore I do appreciate how the Greene County Sheriff's Office assisted me in the performance of duty with a job well done. Also in a present situation dealing with a completely different matter, I can't express my appreciation to the same lead investigator for the professional manner extended out by his taking time to answer questions and return phone calls so promptly.nWhen people/families are faced with hardships regardless of the nature of or where the fault is to lay there is something of good measure to be said when you receive assistance that is efficient and even more so that is also courteous so again much appreciation goes out to The Greene County Sheriff's Office for a well done professional job.
