Norfolk Southern Division Office

This place needs extra crane operators very badly. The wait times are 2 hours or more to get a container lifted or mounted. The crane operators deliberately ignore the waiting drivers just to load trains. I hate when my dispatcher sends me to this hell hole. This place needs to be shut down!

The WORST yard in the region. 3 hours to get a box lifted. 3 HOURS!

So has a driver of semi unable to just do a Uturn been sitting for 2hrs at railroad crossing and losing my drive time a time to make money. Minus well just shutdown in the street. Should be illegal to block road for this long. What's so hard to back up unhook from cart and then pull forward to allow traffic to flow while there trying to plan how to get the rest of the rail cars positioned.

As a driver it as very frustrating to sit and wait to have your container lifted off... we have had waits up to 4 hours. It is supposed to be quick if you have the N&S app.. doesn't happen.. very stressful having to wait most visits

Can’t speak on behalf of truckers dropping off or picking up. However, in regards to traffic and trains blocking the road, remember it is an intermodal facility/railyard. There are trains. Take Adelaide ave. To go over the tracks. There are other streets between Broadway and Hall St. that don’t cross train tracks. These are north of the facility. 5 minute reroute can save you from waiting x many minutes/hours.nWe all have our jobs to do, and we can all improve. Try to be considerate of the guy on the other end.
