My wife and I are in town for the birth of our great granddaughter. Driving down south 85 last night we stopped in traffic. The car next to us told us our car was leaking gas which we could readily smell. We pulled off the road and called our insurance company who patched in 911. The police arrived, made all the contacts, watched the traffic to ensure our safety, and waited until we were safely towed. I regret I didn’t get the officers names. I deep appreciate their concern and professionalism.

After having to drive down Duluth’s streets for a while for work where the big $ is made from going from 45MPH to 35MPH and hanging out there to terrorize people “speeding” I gotta say, I’m super happy people are calling out Officer Spann. “Badge number 1181” had me cracking up...good for people to put that. She was by far, in my opinion a super rude, intimidating cop, chilling at the speed trap intersections, handing out her hot pencil tickets. Hopefully she’s at least not doing traffic anymore. Maybe by now she’s got people in tears on the desk phone.

A personal and professional THANK YOU!!!! for NEVER giving up in seeking justice for victims. I had been checking the internet for months for updates and became saddened as time went by with no word. A good guy and honest client with so much ambition and optimism George Young didn't deserve (not that ANYONE does) to have his life terminated, his children left fatherless, now motherless, parents and genuine family members grieving deeply and good friends, like myself, STILL in shock, disbelief and feeling overwhelming sadness that someone who would do anything and give his last could be preyed upon and killed. Over what? Thank you Gwinnett County Police North Precinct, Crime Lab Professionals and Homicide Detectives for your professionalism and hard-work.

Thanks, I really needed to be charged 20$ to tell me about a headlight out that I know for a fact was working 2 days ago. This is why people lose faith in the forces. I don't have a problem with authority, it's neccessary, but when something so common and unavoidable reaps punishment, is that really a valid authority? It's like punishing someone for their water pump going out, or their starter going bad. These things do not last forever, and nobody can predict or control when it happens. Just proved to me that you're just another revenue generating county. I already pay enough in taxes to be bothered by this. Blah blah blah I could fight it in court, but then it's a gamble because I'd have to pay court fees, and hope the judge isn't a tightwad. What are my odds? Let's see, take a day off of work and gamble or just pay my extra road tax and keep my head down like a good citizen? Needless to say if I didn't have the money to pay, then I'd be put on probation and have to pay 30$ a month until I can pay the infraction for a headlight bulb that literally costs around 4$. I don't even have a criminal record, but that wouldn't matter. Protect and serve? Or Collect and reserve? If I seem bitter, it's because... I use my blinkers. I pay attention on the road, obey the speed limit, do what the signs say... and always maintain my vehicles. When you punish people for no reason (which is what happened) then you lose another little nugget of trust in the populace.

Seriously?? You can’t direct traffic after July 4th fireworks? Useless!
