Cozy Backyard Office (12/04/2016)
Please be warned!! EGS Plumbing is NOT A LICENSED plumber as advertised on his website and on Craig’s List. He is a marketer at best, and a LIAR at worst. When we had issues with a plumber (Pastor John/Just Plumbing Inc.) who blew up our toilet and still didn’t fix the clog, he just sent another pair of incompetent, undependable plumbers to “fix” the clog. But they didn’t fix it either! And rather than make it right, he told me “…. no, all my plumbers aren’t licensed, but a license don’t mean nothing. I have some plumbers with a license that I wouldn’t trust to put in a toilet, and some with no license that I would trust to put plumbing in a whole house.” (You can read the whole story after this summary.) This review is posted in multiple sites and sent to the BBB.nnFact Check: (as of 11/28/2016)nEGS Plumbing- Not licensed with the statenKeith Edwards- (owner EGS Plumbing)- not licensed with the statenJust Plumbing Inc. - (Pastor John)- not licensed with the statenTotal cost- $550 (never did fix the problem)nnWe contacted EGS Plumbing about our backed-up toilets upstairs. Our situation was thoroughly explained to Keith Edwards (owner EGS). He suggested the pipes needed jetting and he sent out a “plumber” who called himself Pastor John. Pastor John arrived by himself, so my husband was had to help him work the hose and monitor the toilets. (I thought this was unprofessional.) While the pipes were being jetted pastor John started citing scripture over the clogs ans stating how he know to remove the clogs on Jesus’ name. He finished the upstairs and offered to jet the downstairs- for an additional fee.nnIt wasn’t until after he left that we noticed he’d done a crappy job. (No pun intended.) Pastor John had blown up our toilet. There was a hole in the side and the back of the toilet. We called and he made NO effort to make it right. He just stated that he usually works on commercial properties- he wasn’t familiar with residential plumbing and sometimes it’s hard to get the pressure just right. (This info was not mentioned prior to his working on our plumbing.)nnSo, because of his incompetence, we had to get a new toilet, even though the invoice he gave us stated we had a 30-day warranty. I have NO idea what the warranty covered. We were out of $350 to Pastor John/Just Plumbing Inc. and $60 for a new toilet, only to have the toilets back up again the next day.nnWe called Keith (EGS Plumbing) again, to voice our displeasure with the plumber he sent and the lack of empathy and no sense of urgency to fix the problem. He told us that customers generally sign a waiver before receiving jetting services. We told him, no waiver was mentioned and no waiver was signed. He apologized for the inconvenience, and said he couldn’t reach Pastor John/Just Plumbing, but he would send another plumber. Two plumbers came the next day. They were very nice, but very scruffy looking. They “determined” we had a vent problem and partially fixed it. (They didn’t have proper equipment/parts to complete the job, so they said they would return the following day at 8am.) Total Cost- $140nnI took the day off and waited, waited, and waited. We started calling Keith (EGS Plumbing) around 10am. He didn’t know where the two plumbers were. They were a “no call, no show”. I asked what his protocol was when incidents like this occurred, he didn’t have one. I asked what he was going to do about getting us a plumber, his only suggestion was to try find someone else, but it may be another day before they could get out. Since it was his company and his plumbers, I asked why he couldn’t come do the job. That’s when the serious “hemming and hawing” began, and led me to believe that he probably has no plumbing experience.nnAt this point, I firmly expressed my displeasure at EGS Plumbing’s ineptness and customer no-service for the last time. In my opinion, EGS Plumbing seems to just be running ads on CL and using his website to FALSELY advertise licensed plumbers……. when nothing could be further from the truth.
