Vermillion Police Department

Vermillion police are probably the nicest people I've met. They are super helpful and keep us safe. Thank you to all the officers. You keep us all safe.

I want to give special thanks to the Vermillion Police Department for assisting me, by calling a tow truck for my bike. They were extremely helpful and was critical to me being able to store my bike, so I could find a way back to Indiana. I truly appreciate your help!!nnMore of the story. I was my way to Sturgis ,SD then was also going to ND, WY, MT and UT when I had engine problems with my 13 Road Glide Custom with only 17k miles on it, in Vermillion, SD. I ended up staying at a park that anyone can stay in on the 5th and 6th of August, 2017. Stranded and 700 miles from home give you a feeling that I hadn't never had before. I was unsure what to do with my bike. Along with not knowing anything about Vermillion, SD. I called the Vermillion Police Department and they asked me some information to verify myself, my number, along with where I was at, the color of my bike, and my tent color.. I have told them that the bike would run but I'm not sure how far it would go. They told me that they would contact a towing company and the towing company would contact me. They graciously contacted REDI TOWING who called as they were pulling up. They knew exactly where I was at because bikers normally just stay the night and off again. But I stayed and bike was coverednup as they drove by a few times. To have them come very quickly and they were extremely nice, friendly, and concerned people that understands breaking down.nPLEASE READ Redi Towing for more details from when they came, to when the transporter came late at night to pick up my bike.
