We live in North Carolina, and wanted to buy a vacation home in Daytona Beach. I emailed Ed Heaphy from Downtown Realty & Investments based upon specific neighborhoods and reviews of each listing's agent. I received an immediate phone call after my email was received, and from there, history was made! Let me put this frankly, I have bought and sold several homes in my lifetime, and I don't play. When I'm looking, I'm looking to buy, and I don't want my time wasted, nor do I want to be shown properties outside of my price range, or in neighborhoods I have already eliminated. For most of us, we're not only looking for a home, we're looking to invest. Ed was the perfect fit for my supersonic method of house-hunting! We were in Daytona for 2 days to find the right vacation place. Ed had the showings lined upon, the route lined up that didn't criss-cross us all over town and back again, and quickly accessed our needs and intentions within the first three showings to eliminate those on our original list, and two hours hadn't even passed yet! By the afternoon, we had narrowed down two properties at two complexes, and parted ways by 3 p.m. Now that is service! On day 2, Ed promptly met us again to view every single unit for sell in each of the two complexes, so we could go high or go low. We made two choices, and he didn't muck around with the offer, didn't make to wait phone calls, didn't hem and haw, etc. Day 3, we were back on the road to North Carolina awaiting call backs on our offers. By the end of Day 3, we had two call backs from our two offers, and the paperwork signed by Day 4 back in North Carolina on the unit that best fit our needs. I challenge any agent to make that happen in the course of 2-days based upon an out-of-state cold email from a complete stranger. Between the offer and closing day, Ed answered every single question, email, phone call and text. He was professional, calm, intuitive, patient, and knowledgeable. We made a great decision selecting Downtown Realty, had a great realtor, got a great place, for a great price, and I would do it all over again in the exact same way!
