A must see! My husband and I visited st. Augustine last weekend and stopped at the lighthouse after our trolley tour. It was my favorite part of the day! We had 45 minutes before they closed for the day. It was so cool to see the ins and outs of the lighthouse and get to walk to the top! At the top, the keeper was so knowledgeable and informative about the history of the lighthouse, and it was awe inspiring to look around and see the town and the water from that vantage point. I definitely recommend. There were also museums, and more buildings and keepers house that we didn’t get to explore at length, but will definitely go again on our next visit. They had a cute playground for children too and some walking trails. It was a great value for the admission price too and offered military discount.

100% worth the stop. What a neat, beautiful lighthouse. I love the history, the view, the way they laid everything out. Even the little hiking trail around it. Just a real treasure. FYI: For a family of 4, it was $48 but if you spend $2 extra, you get a yearly pass and a free pass to a few other light houses around Florida so definitely ask for that if they don't offer it.

Enjoyed the 1.50 hours I spent here, walking around and seeing the different buildings and the artifacts in each. It won't change your life, but is a pleasant experience in a beautiful setting. I climbed a couple stories of the lighthouse, but it was 14-stories to the top, so I opted out and cannot comment on the view from the top. I did get a view from the landing on the way up that was beautiful. The guides at each building are helpful and the entire compound is very walkable and compact. I think it was about $10 to get in, which was well worth it to see the history from Revolutionary War to WWII.

I'll start with the fact that I am not a fan that you can only exit this place by going through their gift shop. I feel bad for people who want to enjoy this attraction but have anxiety and do not want to go through a cramped gift shop making them feel pressured to hurry through or buy something.. That is all fine and dandy that you want to try and sell your merchandise to continue to pay staff but you guys charge a decent amount to get in to your museum/ light house so I can't imagine you are not making enough money to operate which makes me assume someone is just money hungry forcing people to only leave through the gift shop. Otherwise the view from the light house was really nice. And the museum which is a little basic was still pretty cool. There were hand crafted boats under some tents but they were roped off so you couldn't really get to them to see what they were

This place was amazing. Prepare to walk. I hope that you are in good health. By the time we reached the top we were all out of breath. It was worth it, when we reached the top. The view was awesome. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone. I hope to one day visit again.
