I first visited Fred in 1993. At the time there was a gentleman dressed in military uniform of sorts explaining the history of Fred as a cable telegraph house. It is an interesting little structure next to the more popular and famous southern-most buoy.

Yep. This is Florida all right.

It was disappointing to see so many people standing in line to take a picture with Fred's partner, Betty Buoy.nCompletely being ignored as if his place in history is nonexistent.nWe must come together and bring Fred & his legacy back into the spotlight where it rightfully deserves to be.

I visited Fred last November when he was still a nobody and I wish I had of gotten a pic with him! Next time I will definitely make a point of it! Worth a visit to this 100 year old cable house.

I visited Fred the Shed in 2016 when his partner, the buoy, was the star in their relationship. Now Fred has surged into the A-list world, and I hear he's still pretty humble. I too wish I had gotten more pictures with him.
