Virginia State Police - Area 32 Office

Driving my son to the hospital , he Couldn't breathe.. I saw a Trooper turning on to the highway, I chased him as best as I could before I lost him, my son was coughing choking and unable to breathe, I started flashing my blinkers and beeping the horn... Trooper Hacker stopped immediately guided us to the side safely where he got paramedics and fire department on the scene. Trooper Hacker stayed with us, continued assisting with the comfort of my son and let us know he was able to administer cpr if needed, he made sure my son was safe warm and comfortable during the entire time.. My son was rushed to the hospital straight from the interstate ,Trooper Hacker went above and beyond for my family. He came to the hospital to visit my son while I had to run home and get a few over night things etc..I am tired and couldn't drive the distance back as Trooper Hacker visited with my son He over heard me saying I'm waiting on a cab and Trooper Hacker came to another city to pick me up and bring me to my baby... My son is Austistic and has muscular dystrophy Each and everyone of the first responders heard me and handled him with great care. They responded to his delays appropriately and before approaching him allowed me to explain the level of his cognitive abilities and how he responds to noise etc... Thank you all and special thank you to the Troopers , I've gained a new love,respect and appreciation.. I even learned a few things, thanks Trooper Hacker your response time saved my son!!!

Initially when I called about my incident the man on the phone was very helpful. However the second time I called to try to file a report he acted as if I was trying to work the system and took an attitude with me. Very rude and unprofessional.
