I have had my share of crappy landlords but Hostetter is not one of them. Very good people who are easy to contact and take care of maintenance, and other requests swiftly. Also, a Complete itemized security deposit deduction was included when I left, which was more than fair. If you need to rent an apartment in the Lancaster area, I strongly recommend Hostetter!

They are not clear with what they want from applicants. They have a laundry list of requirements and we were extremely upfront with them about everything, where we work, what our credit scores were, how much they make and they told us it was completely fine. They said that as long as everything checked out we should be good. So after paying 60$ non refundable dollars for one application, we were instantly told we don’t match their requiment because I’ve only been at my full time job for 6 months, and it needed to be atleast a year.... why after everything we discussed with them, why did they not tell us that was also a requirement? It was a waste of 60$, and extremely frustrating, specially since the only friendly person in the bunch was the secretary.
