It's a beach in Hawaii so naturally it is going to be beautiful right? This place does live up to the beauty that is expected of a Hawaiian beach. The location is pretty good too as it has what the name implies: park and beach. I was only here for an hour and a half so I did not get to fully enjoy the area. Go en more time, the rating will be better. Lovely place.

This was such a great afternoon spot to relax at. We went on a Tuesday and it wasn't very busy. We got some tasty food from Steak Shack and just sat and ate at one of the shaded tables. The beach was far less packed than the other parts of Waikiki and still beautiful.

The park is nice. It could use some more tropical flowers either from trees or bushes. Ginger lilies love heat, as well as hibiscus does, and it comes in different colors. The beach in places is eroded, and it is clear that some of it has washed away over the years. In areas behind the picnic tables and shelter are spots in the grass where sea water has come into. Rising water levels around the world is clearly becoming an issue.

it was nice bbq there. no homeless people around. kids loved to ride around park on scooters. totally safe. security didn't allow us to put hammock. and watch out for expensive parking near museum.

Quiet compared the main Waikiki beach. There is plenty of space on the park to sit and watch the sunset but if you want to sit on the sand go before 5 pm. The water is calm to swim but lots of rocks make it hard to just play in the water.
