Went by today. The Officer there, I think his name was Dan? (Sorry if I got it wrong) was amazing, gave us a quick and well informed history lesson on HPD, and told us about other things in media to learn about their force. A lot of respect for my short time here, all officers were respectful. Thank you!

I have been here twice and had the pleasure of two very different docents walk me through.nThe first time I went I got a more information on the modern police force and the second time I had Mr. Croom who gave a wonderfully detailed history on precontact and early contact Hawai`i!nI will visit again the next time I have friends in town.

Great tour, my wife and I are both leo, and it was nice to see a museum that covers the whole history of law enforcement in a state. Officer Fatu did an amazing job and knew the history and stories of the pd. He tied them in with tv shows and movies that were based on the pds history. All the memorabilia has been donated over the years and has been well maintained. Would highly recommend to anyone with law enforcement in their family or if you are fascinated by history.

Honolulu's Police Department Museum, the museum is in Homolulu police station, on the ground floor. Visit the museum for free. It's a good idea to park the car on the main street and pay the meter.nThe explanation of the history of the police is instructive, and the exhibits are many and varied.nThe memorial area for policemen who fell during the service is impressive and very respectable,nThere is a wall with pictures of all police commanders Homolulu.nnIt is highly recommended
