I love this place! I went in hoping that someone could help me get the handle off of a handheld tape dispenser so I could turn it into a wall mounted one. At first I just asked if they had tools that I could use to do it myself, then an associate started trying to get just the right tools to do it themselves then another associate came and tried as well, he asked me why I was trying to get the handle off and asked me if I needed it, and I said no, take a hammer to it! Task done! I can't believe the customer service here, I work just down the street and will be going here all the time. So happy that there is a hardware store on the Ave! :)

That first reviewer is delusional. They make everyone take off their backpacks, and there's a sign out front telling you so.nnStaff is impossible to identify and slightly less then helpful. Still got what I needed and it's great to have another hardware store in the U-district.

So happy to have a hardware store back to in the neighborhood! Good size and they seem to have a great selection.

This is an awesome store. Opened today, they pack a lot of merchandise into that space. They make keys, sharpen lawn blades, and of course carry a full span of tools across departments (construction, plumbing, electrical, landscape, etc). I was very surprised at their prices. Some things coat more then the big box stores (but not by much) and other items they are actually cheaper. With hardwicks leaving the area this shop was desperately needed.
