Recently visited my daughter in the Arizona area and decided to take a trip to check out this mission. The guide on staff was very informative and gave us a new insight on something that a lot of us may just take for granted. It was a beautiful day, along with a wonderful tour guide. Be sure to bring a mask and they do have hand sanitizing stations available. The museum was was not open at this time.

A fantastic National Historical Area. The mission still shows the history from the 1600 to past the 1800. Easy to park and walk-around. Excellent information maps for adults and even a guide for kids. Due to Covid the main museum was closed but put a donation in the self-service box and enjoy the artifacts.

This is a pretty neat piece of history. If your tall expect to duck a lot. The people who built this were small.

Amazing and beautiful place! Open even during the Covid pandemic. You can still walk around the grounds, enter the mission buildings, and explore the gardens and orchards. Two things: 1) be respectful of the history and artifacts. 2) donate as much money as you can (not just a measly dollar or two ... This place is amazing and it costs money to keep it open! Sorry, my bad. Three things: 3) Wear a mask; don't be a jerk.

The mission and grounds are well maintained and with easy hiking trails near The Santa Cruz River, this is an oasis away from the cactus in the desert. If San Xavier is 'The White Dove', then this should be called 'The Little Sparrow'.
