My brother worked at the place during the summer of 2020. It was very fun to visit during the weekends and I definitely recommend it. The history of the place is amazing to learn about, and the stories of the ghosts are really interesting. You get to tour around the second and third floor, and stop in each room to learn a little more about the history behind it, as well as a few ghost stories. The only problem I have, would be a few drunk people that ruin the experience and provoke the ghosts that live there. Other then that, it is truly a fun place to visit and you can tell a lot of the guides care for the ghosts and are respectful of their deaths. If you are visiting Virginia City, please check it out and buy a drink!
Spent a few hours at the Washoe Club and it was an amazing time! The staff was super friendly and the drinks were exceptional. The best part was the haunted tour! The tour guide might have the best job in town! Super happy to have experienced this! 100% recommended!
The bar has a good atmosphere and everyone was friendly both times that I went. I don’t believe in ghost so the tour never catches my interest even though I’ve done it twice. The tours inexpensive so I don’t mind doing it but it feels like I’m touring an old building over a haunted Old building location. Out of the both times I went most we experienced was a single knock that the tour guide explained as the start to the haunting. Seemed like to much of a stretch for me. The museum is a bunch of Ghost Adventure stuff. So not much to comment on there.nnOverall, I really liked the atmosphere of the bar and the bartender was friendly. If I lived closer it would definitely be my choice in bar. Despite it all I would recommend the tour as well to anyone thinking about doing it. It’s expensive, tour guide were friendly, and I’ve seen a few people there with ghost hunting devices, so it’s good for amateurs to check out.
I have been to the Washoe Club many times and this experience was just as thrilling as all of the others. Started out with drinks from a super friendly bartender. Then the haunted tour which was full of education, haunting stories and spooky experiences. Afterwards we hung out and talked with locals who shared stories and places in town worth visiting. We plan to come back every chance we get!
My bf has never been to Virginia city and he knows how much I love Ghost Adventures and how much history I knew about the Old Washoe Club. We walked in to a friendly welcoming bar, bought the tickets for the tour. We did a private tour with Halen a funny, nice guy who knew so much about the building and was very impressed with his knowledge and who enjoy the paranormal as much as I do. I was glued to a few rooms, definitely enjoyed meeting Betty. She was amazing. We had such a good time. We will definitely be back.
